ABOUT ME

The space I hold for myself and others is one of authenticity, humor and genuine compassion. I strive to be aligned with my higher power and highest Self to be fully self-expressed and it is my soul purpose to safely guide others along this path of discovery and enlightenment. I am an empath which means I have an innate capacity to sense the emotions and the energies of other people, animals, and plants. I most definitely use this ability to my (and your) advantage when offering emotional support for intuitive healing.

Currently, I practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the colorful state of Colorado and I am located in the Denver Metro area. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) specializing in trauma-informed Hatha and Yin Yoga. My experience also includes teaching Chair Yoga for seniors with chronic pain and limited mobility. My work in the mental health field began in 2012, but my passion for counseling began long before then. Since adolescence, I was eager to see and understand the full spectrum of human experience, from joy to suffering, so I worked in a variety of settings to gain a greater appreciation of the human condition. I have worked in inpatient psychiatric facilities, residential units for adolescents and adults, and outpatient community mental health facilities. I have years of experience providing group therapy. I have facilitated therapy groups for inpatient SPMI populations, intensive outpatient groups for young adults with addiction, and outpatient yoga therapy groups for adults with PTSD. I also have experience working with couples and families.  I have extensive experience with the SPMI (Severe and Persistent Mental Illness) population and have a strong aptitude for working with individuals struggling with thought disorders.

My theoretical orientation is existential and person-centered with experiential modalities and my training credentials include CBT, DBT, and EMDR. I have over 8 years of clinical experience and more than 4 years of experience as a trauma-informed yoga practitioner.

I am a gentle old soul, a natural healer and mental health advocate and I am here to help you if you're interested.

ON A PERSONAL NOTE

CLAIRSENTIENT

In addition to being an empath, I am also clairsentient. Through my spiritual journey, my divine capacity to know, or even feel, the emotions of other beings has become increasingly apparent and part of my everyday life. Clairsentience is essentially defined as a psychic gift of "clear sensation" or "clear feeling." As a result of being so sensitive to the energies of others... I am a huge animal lover.  My emotional connection to animals runs deep and I frequently dog-sit in my community as a form of self-care and soulfood. Above is a picture of my fur babies, Mia the red heeler (5), Sasha the calico tabby (2) and Izzy the polydactyl tabby (7).

In addition to animals, my ability to connect on an emotional and spiritual level with people is truly what gives me meaning. I am highly sensitive to changes in energy which has been hugely beneficial in therapeutic and yogic relationships. In order to heal, we must first trust. I am highly adept at creating and holding a safe space for growth. I can feel both inner and outer energy in a more intuitive way and receive insights about these emotions. Not only do I pick up on mental energy, but sometimes I can also sense physical pain. It has taken me years if intentional practice to harness my innate clairsentient skills and abilities in order to help others discover themselves and improve the quality of their own lives. Now I am living into my values and my purpose by providing intuitive healing via counseling, meditation, yoga and art, to my community.

Occasionally, I turn to Tarot as a way to receive divine guidance, wisdom and support. I have found this practice to be an enlightening addition to prayer and meditation which have been vital on my spiritual journey. However, I understand that this practice or form of divination is not for everyone. So if oracle or tarot cards make you uncomfortable, I will absolutely respect that and would never pressure you to use them.
