To protect your confidentiality and to allow our work to progress at your own pace, I do not accept insurance. If you are curious as to why, during our phone consultation, I can discuss the systemic issues with insurance companies and how they can be problematic for your mental health care. I am committed to holistic care that honors the free will and autonomy of each human being in my care.

WHAT DOES WELLNESS MEAN?

Wellness is a state of being whole and balanced with a continued pursuit of self growth. Wellness can be assessed via the following 8 dimensions:

  7. Financial

  8. Environmental

WHAT IS MINDFULNESS?

According to Kabat-Zinn, mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to the present moment, on purpose, without judgement. Mindfulness is an internal resource that all of us already have within us. The idea is to channel or direct this resource to transform our relationships with stress, emotions, pain, and illness. 
Components of Mindfulness:

  1. Intention is what you hope to receive from practicing mindfulness

  2. Attention is about listening to your inner and outer experiences

  3. Attitude involves paying attention with curiosity, acceptance and kindness

DO YOU OFFER YOGA CLASSES IN THE COMMUNITY?

I do! I teach at RiNo Yoga Social every Monday from 7pm-8:15pm. Class is trauma-informed, donation based, and focuses on the mental and emotional benefits of yoga postures. All props and supplies are provided by the studio, you need only bring a water bottle and an open mind.
